I hope all of you are enjoying our summer break. Kendo class will resume on 8/20. Sunday Class Canceled due to Springfest. News about the Clevelend tournamet: Congrats to Shion Ikeda for passing her test for I-Kyu.

Also, All who have Bogu are invited to goto Kimura Sensei's dojo saturday because Hogi Sensei from the University of Toronto, 6th dan, will be there. It is free to learn from him, but to attend Kimura's dojo, it costs $10.

Kendo tournament went fantastic. Thanks to all the volunteers who handled the pressure like champions and who made this tournament run awesomely. Also, there WILL be practice on thursday, and since it is Kevin's last class, all those who want to, are going to go out and have a farewell party.

No Class Sunday 3/25 due to the UB Kendo tournament, which starts at 9:30am. Those participating or volunteering need to be there at 8am. Remember, those who are helping, be in the triple gym today (Saturday the 24th) at 8pm.

We have UB 1st WNY kendo tournament on sunday 3/25 Gym opens at 7:30 am and will close 5 pm. I have invited BKC, three Rochester clubs, Burlington, Hayakawa and Saint Catherine's dojos. I would like to see all of the UB members take part in this event including nonbogu. I would like to get a head count so please email me ASAP to let me know if you can make it or not. This is a great opportunity please try to participate. Also All Eastern United States Kendo fee are due. The fee are $50 per year. All bogu members and students that have been practicing for one year are required to join. Nonbogu and new members are encouraged to join. AEUSKF is the organization that makes it possible for us to practice and compete in kendo in the USA, so please try to support them. Please submit the fee and application information ( name, age, rank, last test date) to me or Jeff by March 7, 2007

I will be changing the organization of the club and I would like to elect club officers to help with the day to day managing and event planning.
